Edward James Olmos (who played Gaff) was originally given a very small character role to play. His input is what created the character we know and he obviously inspired Scott et al, as the character not only became considerably more interesting, but also more important to the film. The character, even in the last script, was officious, envious of Deckard and much less of a person. And he was to speak straight Japanese, (intended to have English subtitles).

The new anime series Blade Runner: Black Lotus cleverly flips the central replicant question of the original Blade Runner with regard to their respective main characters, Elle and Deckard. The anime will be 13 episodes long with both Japanese and English voice casts. It is currently airing dubbed in English on Adult Swim in the U.S. and Canada and streaming in Japanese with English subtitles on Crunchyroll.

Nightdive has done a fantastic job mapping this previously PC-only game to a gamepad. It retains the original point-and-click interface, but the cursor moves smoothly with the analogue stick, and I like how it slows down slightly when you pass over an interaction point. The new UI is a bit of a letdown, though. The KIA interface (where you can sort and analyse clues you've discovered) has been nicely tidied up and upscaled, but the menus, subtitles, and dialogue boxes are so basic that they look like temporary placeholders. Just plain text and boxes. The game has such a strong, defined aesthetic that it only highlights how mystifyingly under-designed this aspect of the remake is. I've also encountered some cutscene stutter, audio popping, and minor visual glitches on Switch, but nothing that has actively ruined the experience. This stuff might get patched.

Movie files can be placed into individual folders and this is recommended, as it can (sometimes significantly) increase the speed of scanning in new media. If you have external media for a movie (e.g. custom poster, external subtitle files, etc.) you should usually place the movie in a nested folder along with the custom media files. Name the folder the same as the movie file:

The capitaine throws the chicken into the air for the men to chase, and an accordion begins "The Mardi Gras Song." The Mardi Gras runners travel down the road and make stops in other yards. Musical instruments drop out of "The Mardi Gras Song," and a cappella singing continues in French in a call-and-response style. The singers urge the visited households to "give a lot" (donnez beaucoup).

Young Cajun horseman (singing "The Mardi Gras Song" in French with English subtitle): The Mardi Gras comes but once a year, once a year, asking for charity from the master and mistress, even if it's just a small sweet potato, a small sweet potato and some cracklin'.

The young man shoots the hog between the eyes. The hog falls on his back and begins to quiver. The young man jumps inside the pen and attempts to stick the hog with a long blade knife. B-5 Fontenot and a young boy come into the pen to help. 041b061a72
