Zeher: A Love Story

Zeher is a 2005 Hindi-language mystery thriller film directed by debutant Mohit Suri and produced by Mahesh Bhatt. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Shamita Shetty and Udita Goswami. It is an adaptation of the 2003 American film Out of Time.

Plot

The film revolves around Siddharth Mehra, a police officer who is going through a divorce with his wife Sonia, a special investigating officer. He finds himself involved with Anna Varghese, a local married woman who is dying from cancer and whose husband Sean is abusive. Siddharth decides to give Anna the money he recovered in a drug raid for her medication, but things get complicated when Anna dies in a fire that night and all the evidence points to him. Siddharth races to uncover the truth behind Anna's murder, recover the drug money and win back his wife's love.

The most popular song of the film was "Woh Lamhe", which was originally composed by Jal for their album Aadat and later recreated by Mithoon for Zeher.
